Readers deserve to know how what they are reading was made. This page states the rules
this publication holds itself to.
Use of AI tools
Articles are drafted with the help of large language models, then reviewed and edited
by a human before publication. The division of labour is deliberate:
- Tools may draft, restructure and tighten prose.
- Tools may not invent statistics, sources, quotations, organisations or case studies.
Where a figure cannot be attributed to a named source, the article explains the mechanism
instead of supplying a number. - Every draft passes an editorial review that scores it for evidence, balance and
originality. Drafts that fail are rewritten or discarded, not published. - Automated checks block publication when a piece is too thin, repeats an angle already
covered, or contains machine artefacts.
Evidence
Claims are sourced in the sentence that makes them. Where evidence is contested, the
article says so rather than picking the convenient side. Where the honest answer is “nobody
knows yet”, that is the answer given.
Independence and disclosure
This site carries advertising. Advertisers have no influence over editorial content and
no advance sight of it. Where an article discusses a product from which this site could
earn a commission, that relationship is disclosed within the article. Favourable coverage
is not for sale, and no link is inserted into an article in exchange for payment.
Corrections policy
Factual errors are corrected promptly and the correction is noted on the article, with
the date and what changed. Silent edits to the substance of a published claim are not made.
